Penfolds
Wine of the day: 2003 Penfolds Chardonnay (Australia). This chard was really good. I was almost suprised. I was a bit suspicious about an Australian chard, but tonight at Dante's we decided to take a chance. This chard is soft and smooth, not at all acidic. Low oak. Almost sweet. Went great with the fondue :) Highly recommended. At the restaurant it was $26 so probably one could pick it up for $10-13 at a liquor store.
Dante's was a wonderful evening of food and jazz. A couple got engaged tonight, that was cool. That would be an awesome way to propose. He did it well. That's always nice to see.
