I recently wrote about an inflammatory submission I sent into a publisher. Well, I already got a response.
"No thanks" was scrawled across the top of my query.
No thanks? No thanks? Not "You're an absolute genius but we can't take your work at this time." Not "You mangey bitch, how dare you send this refuse to us! You are anethema to the entire publishing industry!" No. I get "no thanks." No burning in effigy, no psycho midnight phone calls, and definately no acceptance.
