Orthodontic Violations
Well, it's official: I'm getting braces. At 27 years old, I'm finally taking the step I've needed for years. I went in to have the records done yesterday. They stuck these plastic things in my mouth, made me pull my lips apart, then snapped a polaroid. Jesus. I felt kinda...violated. Like it was tooth porn or something. For kinky dentists everywhere. Anywho, the train tracks get laid the middle of December, just in time for the holidays. With all the things I can't eat, I'm trying to view it as a diet plan as well as tooth straightening.
I think the attorney I work for hates me. Today, he made me read the entire Internal Revenue Code Section 408A on Roth IRAs. I must have done something deserving of punishment. Who here can identify with my suffering??
Novel progress: currently I'm at 37,490 words. I'm getting close to launching into the climactic action scene. I think this is the most fun I've ever had writing a book.
Wine of the day: (actually, if you want to be technical, wine of yesterday) McManis Merlot, 2003. A reasonably priced Merlot ($11ish) with lots of style. It was sweet for a merlot with medium tannins, high drinkability. Have on it's own or with friends. (Like a sharp white cheddar.) We'll likely be getting this one again.
