Family Reunion
When I go home to visit next month it's family reunion time. Last time I was at one was probably 1998. I know everyone is going to ask, "So what are you doing now?" My real job is...rather dull. I thought about taking on an alter ego occupation, but why stop there? I could give a different answer every time.
"I'm a fire fighter. No, really. I take pictures of fire fighters for calendars."
"I choreograph fight scenes for kung fu movies. You were't planning on taking the last chocolate caramel brownie, were you?"
"I'm a professional poker player. $20 says I could beat you if we played a hand right now."
"I write porn. Lots of it. Ask your husband, he's probably heard of me."
"I drink heavily. Hey, you should try the lemonade. Better yet, give some to Aunt Suzie. She just took a vicodin."
"I'm on the Atlanta Police Department Bomb Squad. Do we know for certain what is inside that cooler that has been left unmanned?"
"I research highly contagious and lethal diseases at the CDC. Here, have some of the pasta salad I made."
